First Medical is a family friendly and patient-centred GP surgery, providing general medical care at 3 convenient locations across the island. Delivering both acute and long-term care services, we firmly believe in holistic health with an emphasis on preventative medicine.
We are here to support you and would like to reassure everyone that our medical teams are working extremely hard to ensure that everyone’s needs are met.
If you think you have coronavirus or would like information regarding symptoms, please ring the Government of Jersey helpline on 01534 445566. We are asking all our patients who think they have coronavirus symptoms to not visit their GP surgeries. This is to protect the health and wellbeing of our colleagues and other patients. If symptoms are severe please call an ambulance immediately.
For all other illnesses, please call your GP who will assess your situation, and call back to arrange an appointment if required. We would like to ask all our patients not to visit the surgery to request an appointment. Our surgeries are operating a closed door policy. Only patients with an approved appointment will be seen to.
This will ensure that all our patients and colleagues are kept safe.
In the event that some of our surgeries close, prescriptions and medicines for collection will be transferred to another surgery. We will make our patients aware of these changes as and when they happen.
If you have received a rescue pack, please keep this to one side and only begin to use it when truly required.
We thank you for your patience and continued support. We are working hard to ensure least possible impact.

GP Job Advert
Based in Jersey, Channel Islands, First Medical is looking for motivated GPs to join their team in associate, salaried or partnership roles. – More Information
After 35 years as a GP in Jersey, I have decided to “hang up my stethoscope”, and I shall be retiring from General Medical practice on 15th April 2023.
Throughout my involvement with the Medical Practices at 41 David Place, Co-operative Medical Care and latterly First Medical, it has been a privilege and a pleasure to provide ongoing medical care for you, and your families, as patients and friends.
I leave First Medical knowing that the Practice is well established, with an excellent team of clinicians and ancillary health care staff.
The Administration Team is professional, efficient and caring.
I have no doubt that the First Medical team are well placed to continue to offer family centred General Medical services to all patients, old and new.
I wish you all continuing good health and happiness.
